Support should meet you where you are - not ask you to fit into a box.
At Twin Star Counseling, I believe meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and supported as a whole person. Life is complicated, and the challenges that bring people to counseling rarely exist in isolation. Our relationships, families, past experiences, responsibilities, transitions, and environments all shape how we experience the world.
That's why my approach to therapy is personal, collaborative, and practical. There is no one-size-fits-all version of counseling here. Whether you're navigating anxiety or depression, processing trauma, facing a major life transition, struggling in a relationship, managing complicated family dynamics, or simply realizing that something in your life needs to change, our work begins with understanding you - your experiences, your strengths, your needs, and what you want your life to look like.
Therapy at Twin Star is a place to talk openly without judgment, but it's also a place to do meaningful work. Together, we can identify patterns, understand what's underneath them, build on the strengths you already have, and develop practical tools that translate beyond the therapy space and into everyday life. I draw from evidence-based practices while tailoring our work to your goals, personality, circumstances, and pace.
Twin Star Counseling was created with the belief that mental health care can be both professional and deeply human. My role isn't to tell you how to live your life or pretend to have all the answers. It's to bring clinical knowledge, curiosity, honesty, and compassion to the table while recognizing that you are the expert on your own experiences.
In addition to counseling services, Twin Star provides professional services that support individuals and families navigating more complex systems and circumstances, including clinical supervision and select court-related work. Across every service, the goal remains the same: to provide thoughtful, ethical, individualized support while helping people move toward greater understanding, stability, and meaningful change.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. You just need a place to start.
